Frisco is the Fastest Growing City in the US

The study compared cities with population growth above the national average and housing costs below the national average. It focused on mid-sized cities with populations of at least 100,000 people.

Assessment of growth was based on population increases in the past year and over the past five years. Frisco’s population increased 4% over the past year and 27% over the past five years.

A strong white-collar job market and high quality of life are key factors in attracting these new residents. Another is the relative affordability of homes in Frisco. GoBankingRates.com based their affordability assessments on average home values, rental costs and mortgage costs in comparison to median household income. The median household income in Frisco is above the national average at $146,000, while the median home value is a bit more than $678,000.
